Monthly Meetings
The Probus Club of Saskatoon has a speakers committee that actively reaches out to the community to secure engaging and interesting speakers for the monthly meetings, held on the first Wednesday of each month at 9:30 AM. The entire meeting lasts approximately 1 to 1-1/2 hours. Additionally, the Social Committee organizes coffee/tea, doughnuts/cookies and nametags at meetings.

Book Clubs
Book Clubs
The Probus Club of Saskatoon hosts three book clubs, each focused on different books, genres and themes, providing members with an opportunity to engage in lively discussions, share reading recommendations, and deepen their love for literature. Book Club #1 generally meets on Monday afternoons at 1:00 PM. Book Club #2 is currently on hold till the fall. The Online Book Club#3 regularly meets the 3rd Friday of the month.

The Probus Club of Saskatoon has three groups that meet regularly to play cards, including cribbage (Every other Friday, starting again in the fall), progressive canasta (Every other Monday), and bridge (3rd Thursday), offering members a fun and social way to connect, enjoy friendly competition, and hone their skills in these classic games. The Probus Club of Saskatoon has a walking group that meets every Friday at 10:00 AM, walking for one hour, followed by a coffee gathering where members can socialize and enjoy a relaxed post-walk chat.

Club Affairs
The Probus Club of Saskatoon is dedicated to managing club affairs, such as maintaining the roster, handling member relations. The Communications or Newsletter Editor ensures the timely distribution of the newsletter, while the Audiovisual team provides technical support, including IT setup for speakers. Additionally, the Health Communicator sends out well wishes to members who are sick or in the hospital, fostering a caring and supportive community.

A non-profit club like the Probus Club of Saskatoon wouldn't be complete without an executive team, which includes the President, Vice President or President Elect, Treasurer, Past President, and Secretary. The District Director communicates with Probus Canada to ensure the club remains connected and aligned with national initiatives. Interest Groups or Activity Groups are what keep things lively throughout the year! The key to a great Interest Group is having Coordinators – just someone who’s happy to share the details of an event or share an interest to start an activity group. And hey, this doesn’t have to be all on one person – it can easily be a shared role. No need to stress, this is all about having fun! A few people can come together to create a group of like-minded folks to share an activity or experience.

Probus Club of Saskatoon: A Snapshot of Past Activities
The Probus Club of Saskatoon has evolved with member interests, offering a wide range of activities. From the Apple iPads and iPhone Group to the Wine Tasting / Wine and Cheese events, there was something for everyone. Members enjoyed the Wood working-Wood turning group, Barbecue Group, Cycling, Fishing Trips, and Golf Tournaments. Other activities included Card Games (Mahjongg, Scrabble, Whist, Kaiser), Chess Club, Curling, Horseshoes, and Scrabble. The Movie Group, Camera Club, Music Committee, Musicians Group, and Concert Group provided entertainment and creative outlets. Sewing for Community Projects, the Genealogy Club, and the Volunteer Club gave back to the community, while the Puzzle Exchange, Art Appreciation, Murder Mystery Book Group, and Dinner Group kept members engaged. The Community Services Group, Indoor Walking Group, Knitting, Crocheting, Quilting, Arts & Crafts, and Open Mic, or "A Moment of Notoriety" brought members together for fun, learning, and support.
